American Nomads

Following a group of free-spirited train hoppers, American Nomads is a gritty, deep dive into both the dark and light sides of life without rules or limitations.

First, there's River-as a young child, her sister spirited her away from their abusive father. She knows no other life than that of a drifter. Next, there's Cash, born and raised in Spokane; he's been on his own since seventeen. He's always ready for the next adventure, as well as the next great con. There's Zac, growing up in rural East Texas; his father taught him it was the duty of the strong to protect the weak. He learned the hard way that the world doesn't always honor the protectors. There's Beth-young and nave; she always dreamed of a life of travel and adventure. When the Nomads land in her North Texas hometown, she jumps at the chance to join them. She soon discovers the world isn't always a wonderful place and that sometimes dreams turn out to be nightmares. And finally, rounding out the group are Finn and Teague. Two runaways who met years ago, under a dark bridge in Austin. On that chilly night, scared, tired, and at the end of their ropes, they forged a bond that would set the foundation for an odd family of misfits and vagabonds.
