Outside Looking In

Gracie waits alone outside the Bass County courtroom for the grand jury's decision while Jake marks his sixty-third birthday inside the county jail. After surviving the suicide of her son and her daughter's struggle with drugs, she thought she could survive anything. Now, staring at the sun pouring onto the wide staircase looming above her, Gracie has her doubts. Was Jake set up? Was he in the wrong place at the wrong time? Or does he even remember the events of that evening? Jake's family bands together on a crash course into the justice system, but the wheels of justice are at a standstill, holding them in a different type of prison as events unfold. Gracie relies on her faith, but nothing could prepare her or the family for being on the outside without a compass.
