Trapped - Across the UK

We challenged secondary school students to craft a story in just 100 words. In this third installment of our SOS Sagas, their mission was to write on the theme of 'Trapped'. They were encouraged to think beyond their first instincts and explore deeper into the theme. The result is a variety of styles and genres and, as well as some classic tales of physical entrapment, inside these pages you may find characters trapped in relationships, struggling with mental health issues, or even characters who are the ones doing the trapping.

Here at Young Writers, it's our aim to inspire the next generation and instill in them a love of creative writing, and what better way than to see their work in print? The imagination and skill within these pages are proof that we might just be achieving that aim! Well done to each of these fantastic authors.
