Voyage to Midnight Island

Fourteen year old Frank Nightingale and his fifteen year old sister Lucy are heading for Midnight Island as passengers on a cargo boat, when they should have been spending the summer holidays at their boarding school. According to a plan found in the school library, there's a book of magic spells hidden in a castle on the island. The voyage is far from being a luxury cruise and when they get to Midnight Island things get a lot worse. In charge is the evil,self-styled Count Drago who has been searching for the book but can't find it. Frank and Lucy aren't superheroes with special powers - just ordinary kids who come up against the chaos on Midnight Island. This is an action and adventure story with contemporary themes - written for young teenage readers. It also makes a great bedtime story for mums or dads to read to younger children. Will Frank and Lucy be forced into finding the book for the Count? Does the book really have magic powers? Will they manage to get back to the boat before it leaves without them? And that's just a flavour of this exciting, fast moving story.
