In 1999, in the midst of Chain Murders of Iranian dissident intellectuals among other events that shook the political and social arena of Iran and spread the shadow of fear and death over the society, I decided to interview Iranian intellectuals. These interviews show the intellectual discourse of those years and portray the role of intellectuals as active players of the social and political scene of those days.
