This book is a long historical novel, focusing on the never ending wrong, the case of serial rape and murder of mother and daughter. It tells the story of Yang Zhen, the first honest and upright official of the Han Dynasty, in an epic style. After Emperor Han'an was in power, he was close to crafty sycophants, far from loyal and upright offices, and his politics was dark and the people had no means to live. For the sake of the national economy and people's livelihood, Yang Zhen racked his brain and made a straight admonish, finally he was framed by the crafty sycophants. Yang Zhen was upright and he showed his high ideals at the cost of his life, to maintain his own integrity.
