The Weijin Nanbei Dynasties (AD 220-589) were a period of frequent regime changes, social chaos, and sharp ethnic conflicts in Chinese history. The poetry of this period still occupied the most significant position in literature, and the subjects were more diverse, becoming a mirror of the turbulent three hundred years and more. Poetry was also richer in form and style. Five-character poetry was incredibly developed. The appearance of the Seven-character form contributed to developing such a poetry style in the future.
