4WD Tractor Pioneers: Pt. 1

The Steiger history is complex, covering a period of nearly 50 years from the time the Steiger brothers built their first tractor over the winter of 1957/58 through to the latest offering by CNH, the Case IH STX series of tractors. The Steiger story is split into two parts/films with part one charting the early development of the first green tractors through to the Steiger STX working in 2006, including a section on the Steiger built Allis Chalmers 440 and International Harvester 4366. The film shows excellent working shots of these tractors coupled to in depth interviews with the founder Douglas Steiger, farmers, operators and CNH staff who build the modern Case IH Steiger tractors. The Part 2 will include the Ford FW, Steiger industrials and much more. It is expected for release in late autumn of 2006.
