Hard sweat, calloused hand palms, barefooted, beaten, abused and used, misled, lost innocence, hardship, confusion, lack of knowledge and other mental challenges: these are only a few obstacles that a small underprivileged child of any color or race may face growing up being poor. Always being told that they cannot and never will. Hopefully someone will read this and it sticks with them helping to realize that there is a better world out there, all they have to do is reach for the stars and grab on to one and hold on to it real tight. Dreams do come true, dream it and seek to make it become real. It will not happen over night, there are obstacles that have to be hudled over to make that dream happen. I wrote this book to let others know that although you may give out, but to never give up. This book focuses on the life of a black child growing up and becomes a woman. How she grew up, the way she grew up, the changes in her life. The changes she had to endure to finally acknowledge that the choices she made in her life were her own choices and decisions; not any one else. Through out life we all will have to face choices and decisions.
