A Chain of Events

On April 14, 1994 two U.S. Air Force F-15s shot down two U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopters. Although the Black Hawk downing was one of the worst air-to-air friendly fire incidents in U.S. military history, the Air Force concluded the pilots had made a reasonable mistake. A Chain of Events describes what happened that fateful morning and details the struggle the Piper family went through trying to uncover the truth. It is a story of duty, patriotism, and of a mother's devotion to her daughter's memory.
