A Choice to Embrace

This is an autobiography of Wendy Hoyte, embracing, pursuing and conquering the journey of life. This is a book of truthful, historical events, experiences, growing up through the sixties, seventies and eighties; revealing pride and lack of trust from my parents and foreparents. While reading, one may be able to see their childhood memories through mine or reflect on those that may be lying dormant.

A book of adventures, exploits - challenges and changes during difficult times. Which leads to resilience and advancement while pivoting and journeying through the ever evolving world. It includes the past and present, hereby, demonstrates the highlights of hope and expectation for the future. Wendy Hoyte is a proud Caribbean woman residing in the beautiful island of Barbados. The land of sea, sun, with lovely beaches, and friendly people. She worked in the Government of Barbados as a legal officer and an executive officer for over twenty years. Which gave her the privilege to help uplifted and encouraged those facing various challenges and the opportunity to interact with people on a personal and professional level. She is now happily enjoying retirement, thereby pursuing her God's giving purpose.

A facilitator, trained mentor, counselor and now an author. Wendy is the C.E.O of The Encouraging & Counselling Center, a registered charity established in 2018 to primarily reach out to victims of abuse. She has offered counselling support to women locally and regionally. She serves faithfully in the discipleship ministry at the New Dimension Ministries, based here on the island. She published her first book in 2021, "The Changing Scenes of Life". Her guiding truths are, "With God, all things are possible" and "With His strength at work in me, I can do all things.
