A Corona Christmas

What a year 2020 has been! And what a super special Christmas this Christmas will be. This beautifully illustrated children's book follows on from Rona Stole My Fun (a best-seller), and tells of the excitement of a child in the build up to Christmas. Illustrated by a four-year-old kindergarten girl, Tara, the book celebrates her love of making gifts and craft for people at Christmas and would be a brilliant tool for kindergarten teachers, childcare workers, juvenile educators, and parents and grandparents looking to reinforce the non-commercial aspects of Christmas. The love, the family time, the making of gifts, the hugs, the family roast, and the singing all form a key element in this children's story. It is not all about the toys!

This 36-page book celebrates everything that is special about Christmas, especially now that a pandemic has shown us what really matters most in our lives. It shows us that love matters, family matters, and time matters. It shows us that it is the thought that truly counts at Christmas. It encourages children to think about all the people who love and care for them. It encourages children to reflect on the simple things in life. And hopefully it encourages children to think about what they have the power to create in their own artistic way!

The book is dedicated to C&K Community Kindergarten, Oxenford, QLD, Australia, where Tara currently attends. Humorously, it includes a lovely piece at the end written by Tara's kindy Director, Miss Lisa, about a day in the life of a kindergarten teacher.
