A Crummy Job

Lieutenant Daniel Crimson didn't get the job he wanted. Trained as a combat pilot in the Hydra interceptor, he has instead found himself relegated to a crummy job as a shuttle pilot on the Majestic, an old and obsolescent fleet cargo ship. Despite his protestations, Commander Maulion-who doesn't seem to like him-insists there has been no mistake. With a dire crisis at hand as supplies of the essential mineral ore marasite dwindle towards zero, Daniel and the Majestic must embark on a quest into space. Their goal: find a new source of the ultra-rare mineral. They must succeed, for failure means succumbing to a fate more calamitous than the death of the old Earth, so many centuries ago. Oh, and if that wasn't enough, Daniel is also the prime suspect in a series of brutal murders. Can anything go right for him?
