The one that bears bad news, holds pain and mires in a stream of death and the dying. In this fictional story, Dr. James is in crisis as his practice is further burdened by a crushing lawsuit. Unmasking the psychological burden experienced by many practicing doctors this work portrays one physician's unbearable experience as examined and articulated by a seasoned MD. It reflects real-life unrelenting issues faced by practicing physicians. It is reported by JAMA and the AMA that approximately a doctor a day commits suicide due to the psychological burden of a his/her work.The need for doctors to maintain an air of infallibility to show strength to their patients is certainly contributory. The mental health support system for doctors is severely lacking. All of these issues lead to the important question, "Who heals the healer?" This work includes Book Club Questions.
