The life of a Dreamer assassin has left a bad taste in Astrid Beal's mouth. After striking a deal with her employer, the Legacy, for early retirement, she's content to live a nice quiet life as a successful restaurateur. So why the hell would a Dreamer with unheard-of powers attack her in her home and dump her almost lifeless body on the doorstep of the most famous Catcher in Dreamer history?Lucien Drake has gotten used to having a target on his back. Because of their parentage, the Legacy would like nothing more than to see him, and his sister, Somiar, destroyed.
