A Fighting Chance

This is the story of a perfect, Quarter Horse filly, named Cricketts Rose, a calm nature, gelding, named Red, a disabled owner, who couldn't even have them in her name, and in the novel, her name is Amanda, and a million dollars race that Cricketts Rose just knows she is meant win. And of course, Red and Amanda never doubt Cricketts Rose. Now, Cricketts Rose and Red would have wanted you to know that, the only thing that wasn't fiction in this novel is how good horses, they really was, what happen to Cricketts Rose's mother, and a little of what is like to be disabled, poor, and trying to have something. And while, it's theirs novel, there are good-looking, cowboys, dancing, and that kind of stuff in the story, too. Cricketts Rose and Red, reckon it's because of the amateur writer, who is writing theirs story, and that would be me, Patti Witter, a.k.a., Amanda.The novel is set from September 16, '83 to September 16,'84, when Cricketts Rose turned two year old in '84, and you won't believe what can happen in a year time.
