A Graver Danger

In 1995, Karen Horwitz, aka the CHANGE EVERYTHING TEACHER, discovered our schools suffered from what she calls the Harvey Weinstein syndrome-a culture of abuse and exploitation where the powerful get their way no matter how wicked until someone finds the courage to expose them. In 2002, a Florida Teacher of the Year tried to prevent another Columbine by filing a police report that a student brought a bag of guns to school; his district criminally indicted the teacher accusing him of helping that child bring those guns. Enduring unbearable trauma for him and his family, he eventually proved his innocence, but who wants that? Obviously, no one based on how teachers stopped noticing disturbed students.
