A North Lawndale Journey of Faith: The Testimony of an Ex-Offender is story about a gifted man who found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time and was incarcerated for a crime he did not commit. Even more, it is the inspiring story of a man whose steadfast faith showed itself early and how it propelled him into a life of commitment and service to a community that many would have abandoned upon achieving the success that he did.

From a musical talent that led him to join his elementary school band, to his membership in his high school male chorus and founding of the Billboard Magazine-charting R&B group "Superior Movement," to the hardship of serving time in prison, the author maintained a faith in God that not only sustained him but motivated him to use his gifts for the betterment of his North Lawndale community.

Upon his release, he co-founded Hope House, a Christian recovery home for ex-offenders, established a men's choir, earned a master's degree in Christian Ministries from Northern Seminary, and spearheaded the building of The Ujima Condominium Association in which he lives today.
