This research explores the causes of stress within the British Transport Police, considering its effects at home and within the organisation. In recent years, stress has become a topic that many work places have become more aware of due to the total number of absences from work taken by its personnel. This book discusses how stress can be targeted and managed in the area of policing. It explores other studies and finishes with a concise conclusion that provides an overall balanced argument on the identification of the current perceptions of stress experienced by police officers within the organisation of the British Transport Police.
