Set on the Nebraska prairie in the late 1880s, A Place to Call Home is the story of Izzy Carter and her adopted brother, John. The story follows them from childhood to adulthood as they face multiple challenges and navigate the heartache of watching orphans brought to town from New York on the Orphan Train.
