James Forthwell intended to take a semester off of entomology when he offered to teach an English class. Unbeknownst to him, one of his students had ruthlessly destroyed the career of the brilliant physics professor, Dr. Singh, who exacts his vengeance by shrinking Professor Forthwell's class down to one inch tall! Worse, the ten tiny people are now targeted by an ambitious Chinese secret agent determined to kidnap them for research purposes.
