Sadly, the international community is seen lulling the perpetrator of the genocidal war, Mr. Abiy Ahmed, and has used every leverage they have to help him stay in power and continue with his fascistic project without any fear of accountability: some serving as sources of funds and others as suppliers of war weapons and experts. The international community has been chanting "Never Again" for years but to no avail. They have defined jargon of words such as genocide, justice, equality, tyranny, and dictator, with no practical application without discrimination and preferential treatment. The type and complexity of the genocidal war crime committed against the people of Tigray are far and beyond the traditional definitions. However, the international community has remained unresponsive. This has emboldened dictators to continue their perpetration with impunity. It has become an undisputable reality that the factors that dictate the international community to act are greed, conflict of interest, and race. The world is undermining the values of democracy and enabling fascism to flourish.
