Shpendi Sollaku No's poetry delves into meat, bone, and blood. He uses verses to pound on a stone to get at the truth; and he succeeds perfectly, coordinating style and synthesis. Before understanding, the reader feels. He sees himself in a forest without trees, praising the trees that are not there anymore, but through the force of the poetry, for a moment, the reader perceives the landscape as it was before the disappearance of the trees. Scenes, murals, puzzles that are fiction remind the reader of desolation, remorse, opaque hopes-"The empty apocalypse."
