Margaret wrote this book in hopes of explaining to the general public the real gamut of emotions and trials that adoptees face. She shares her personal struggle to help and encourage other adoptees and to educate others not to expect “the expected.” Loss, grief, and anger are part of the journey along with joy, acceptance, and peace. Margaret wants adoptees to know they’re not alone.

Margaret has journeyed through her life to discover her true beginnings. She has wrestled with the pain and joy of finding out about her birth parents’ reason for placing her with her adoptive parents. In the end, she realizes most importantly that she is a child of the King and a valuable member of the family of God.
