This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Advances in Quantitative Ethnography, ICQE 2023, held in Melbourne, VIC, Australia, during October 812, 2023. The 33 full papers included in this book were carefully reviewed and selected from 39 submissions.
