Fourteen yr-old orphan, Cassandra Stone, had a miserable childhood being shuffled between foster homes, always alone with only a grocery-bag of clothes and a growing rock collection. At twelve, she is finally adopted, but tragedy strikes again when at fourteen, she discovers she is a fairy and in the wrong world. She vows to use her new found magical power to bring back home to Peridonia, all the other orphaned fairies in the human world to where they belong.
