African Stories About the Tortoise

The stories in this book are a collection of animal stories about people. They focus on the tortoise who is a small, but a smart animal who has to prove himself to other animals who are bigger and more powrful than he. But, the tortoise is also very cunning.

Some of the stories explain how the tortoise uses his wit to perform extraordinary acts, and overcome obstacles, even though he is small, and walks very slowly. The tortoise is constantly being tested by people and other animals who want to prove him to be worthless. Each of us is unique, and we have our individual talents, just like animals. The tortoise is constantly in competition with other animals who try to discredit him. Copy the good traits that the tortoise exhibits, and show others that you are worthy and can do anything if you put your mind to it. We are not all the same size, and we don't all look alike; but
we are all talented in different ways
that show our unique intelligences.
