Retrorsum-Aftermath chronicles Will Patterson's life after escaping the 21st century with his now-wife. They've permanently settled in the early 1930s, decades before Will was even born. About a year into living in this era, Will begins documenting his experiences through journal entries. Antoinette helps him adjust to her world as they face the challenges of living permanently before his time. Along the way, Will shares his knowledge of future events throughout the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s. The couple frequently returns to Las Vegas, a place filled with personal significance, marking both their first meeting and their hurried departure from the 21st century.
