AI and Assembly

Artificial intelligence has moved from the lab into everyday life, and is now seemingly everywhere. Arguably, there are as many foci of concern about AI as there are implementations of it. AI and Assembly invites readers to explore a fundamental, and over-looked, issue: the interaction between artificial intelligence and freedom of assembly. This freedom is core to collective action, civil society, and liberal democracy. Now, as sensors collect, analyze, and make data-driven decisions about us when we are using screens and when we are not; when we are inside our homes and outside in public; when we are in transit or asleep; when we're alone and when we're together, we must address AI's impact on assembly.
