In this third and final book of the Early Journals of Will Barnett series, Lance Surfett is living in San Francisco, enrolled in a two-year art program, while Will Barnett is living with his Uncle Sean in Austin, Texas and attending UT Austin. The two young men have vowed to stay true to one another for the two years that they will be separated, and they even wear rings as a symbol of their commitment. But two years is an eternity for young men just barely out of high school. Will their love survive, or will Lance fade into the background there in San Francisco, among so many gay men?
