All the Great Horses: And How They Enriched My Life Through the Years

Barb was privileged to live in the best of times for horses. Ahead of the 1960's, horses were tools. Used by farmers and ranchers, and worked or driven to town, they were not to be loved, only used.

Starting after the wars though, horses became a pleasure animal. Little girls could afford them, hay and pastures were dirt cheap, and there was open land to ride for miles and miles! This was the scene when Barb acquired her first horse.

These are stories of the next 60+ years - the golden age of horses!
