An Account of the Foxglove and its Medical Uses 1785-1985

Published 200 years after William Withering's classic An account of the foxglove and some of its medicinal uses, and containing a complete facsimile of it, Aronson's book comments on the original text and goes on to introduce the botany and pharmacology of the foxglove. It also discusses its therapeutic uses, bringing the story up to date - the drug digitalis is still extracted from the foxglove today.
