This study explores the causes for acculturative stress experienced by Sri Lankan international students and aimed at finding out the relationship between the cherishing factors and acculturative stress pertaining to international students. The level of acculturation was assessed by using four determinants; Interpersonal skills, social support, financial stability and psychological adaptability of Sri Lankan students migrants. Respondents were selected using simple random sampling technique, and they were representing top ranked Australian Universities. 50 Sri Lankan students (50% female, 50% male; mean age 20-30 years, SD = 0.714) who study abroad in various Certificate, Diploma, undergraduate and post graduate courses were interviewed by an online questionnaire and gathered data. The questionnaire contained 13 general questions and 27 Likert Scale Questions. Based on the findings of the study, it was recognized that social support and the psychological adaptation of the students are positively correlated to the level of acculturative stress.
