"Analysis Analysed" provides a critical reflection upon the theory and practice of analysis. On the basis of more than 30 years of clinical experience the author has come to question many of the assumptions of the profession - in particular the attempt to prove the truth of theories by the presentation of clinical material. The training of analysts, and political and cultural influences, are among other issues discussed. The result is a challenging and controversial book that should draw interest from all analysts whatever their persuasion.
