Apotheosis of the Gnosis

What has come to a head here, with this title, is a sense of freedom that owes more to theocracy than to democracy, but which could not have materialized, in any ultimate form, without the assistance of democracy. That, in itself, is not new to the author's work, but the way it has been described, and the extent to which he has exposed the penalties of not embracing psychic freedom more absolutely, is really quite something else, not least in respect of the covert subversion of male virtues by female pressures which is the price to be paid in the absence of a more complete freedom. - A Centretruths editorial
