Appalachian Slam

The years have passed but the pain hasn't. Jesse Cavanaugh had hoped, when he left for New York, he would never return home to the mountains of North Georgia, or the father he despised. But now, Jesse's father is hanging between life and death in a hospital bed with little hope of recovery. Which is why Jesse is so surprised when he is confronted by the man on a secluded riverbank.As Jesse takes to his father's lifestyle of fly-fishing in the creeks and rivers surrounding his hometown he is haunted by the vision of the man he has spent so long trying to forget. Their conversations and struggles lead him down a path of self-reflection. As Jesse fishes, he wrestles with the complicated relationship the two men have and with the fact that they may not be as different as he once believed.
