Aristophanous Ploutos

This classic play by the ancient Greek playwright Aristophanes is a riotous comedy about wealth and poverty. The central character, Plutus, is a blind beggar who is suddenly given the gift of sight and proceeds to distribute wealth to the deserving instead of the wealthy. With sharp satire and laugh-out-loud humor, Ploutos remains one of the great works of Western literature.
