As For Me and My House: The Promise of Joshua: And if it seems evil unto you to serve the Lord. Choose ye this day whom you will serve, weather the gods witch your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood or the gods of the Amorites in whose land ye dwell.: But as for me and my house we will serve the Lord.
We are the spiritual and biological decedents of Joshua this makes his promise our promise. To serve God and spread His word though out the Household of Faith.
