Asokamithiranai Vaasithal

Ashokamitran's works are celebrated as the best examples of Tamil literature in both novels and short stories. June 2014, a conference happened to celebrate the genius of Ashokamitran, as 'Reading Ashokamitran'. This book is a collection of articles presented in that conference. Translator N.Kalyanaraman, Poet Perundevi, Writers Perumal Murugan, Amshan Kumar, Rajan Kurai, and Ramanujam explore the fiction of Ashokamitran from their unique perspectives. The book introduces Ashokamitran the legend to a new reader, and opens new doors to the experienced reader.
