Autonomic Endocrine Interactions

This volume presents an account of the structure, physiology and chemistry of autonomic neuroendocrine interactions. The book introduces the evolution of the neuronal and endocrine systems and makes a detailed study of the receptors involved in signal transduction. It goes on to detail the autonomic innervation of each of the endocrine glands. It then switches viewpoint and examines the effects of the endocrine system on the autonomic nervous system, through the action of various hormones.
