Emeroon is a country out of time where men's rule is absolute, and females are invisible. Ruled by an indulgent King who is merely a puppet put in place by the real rulers of Emeroon, namely the clerics, who seized power 500 years ago believing they could do a better job of running the country than the idiot Kings who went before them, they alone know the secrets of their evil deeds which they guard that knowledge with their very lives. So, to protect their secrets and maintain absolute control, they devised a way to control the population, keeping the citizens oblivious to who really is in power until now. Laianna was just another one of those females who were invisible, yet just as she resigned herself to a life she was bred for, her life path took a different turn. With the help of a compassionate Chola, she discovers that she is more than just invisible, but a force to be reckoned with; she will rediscover abilities long forgotten as a child, which will wield the power that will change the course of her world and destroy Emeroon's' barbaric way of life forever.
