In the third Grace Reagan outing, our lawyer heroine is about to cut ties with Mallard Bay, her legal practice, her family, and other characters of this small Chesapeake Bay town. She's on her way to France, or so she thinks. Unfortunately, the path to the lavender fields is full of potholes and boulders. 

A quarrelsome trio of sister wives wants Grace to find their missing husband. He may be in trouble, or he may be running as far and fast as he can. Grace's personal life isn't in any better shape than her clients'. Her cousin has a new business that is burning through Grace's money faster than she can earn it.
