Basics in Quality Teacher Preparation

The philosophical framework of teacher education is hinged on grooming, building capacity, developing safety practices and advancing knowledge and skills. This book therefore looks at the concept of basics in quality teacher preparation. Further to this discussion, it drew attention to some trends in basics quality teacher preparation which include:- pre-service, teaching practice, student industrial work experience scheme (SIWES) and in-service training, framework on teacher preparedness, modes of teachers' preparation in TVET classroom, building capacity of pre-service TVET teachers in multi-modal techniques, re-positioning of business and agricultural education programmes to contain pockets of herdsmen clashes in Nigeria, Re-tooling in classroom teaching, restructuring in teacher education, practical approach to micro teaching, managing and appropriating available funds for the provision of adequate facilities in teacher education.
