Becoming Cathy

It's 1957 and Cathy Fallon is home in Iowa, but not for long. Cathy doesn't want what most 23-year old women want - a husband. She doesn't care that her aunts worry that she will become an old maid. She knows what she wants. She wants to spend her days surrounded by great art. She already has an education. She earned a Masters in Fine Arts from Radcliffe (which was, by-the-by, the happy hunting ground for Harvard educated husbands). Now she is starting a career, working in California with the eclectic art collection amassed by the multi-millionaire William Randolph Hearst. A new life doing what she loves beckons. What could possibly happen on her way to Becoming Cathy?
