Bellum Alexandrinum

A Latin account of Julius Caesar's campaign in Egypt in 47-46 BC, written by his loyal officer Aulus Hirtius. The book describes the military operations and political negotiations that led to Caesar's victory over the forces of Ptolemy XIII and Cleopatra VII, as well as his brief romance with the latter. Bellum Alexandrinum is considered one of the most reliable sources on Caesar's life and times.
