Summer Reynolds had it all. Young, beautiful, and possessing a fierce attitude that complimented her career, she was the lead District Attorney for the state of North Carolina, a position traditionally held only by her male counterparts. During her ten years in practice, she spent three of them breaking every rule possible without suffering disbarment. She spent the other seven years terrorizing judges, their chambers, and their courtrooms from district to district resulting in separating families from their loved ones. Becoming known as a modern-day Delilah, seeing other people's pain became an addiction for Summer. She thrived on it! Then one day it happened; the loss of one high profile case, which involved a former classmate, destroyed her career.

After losing everything, Summer Reynolds battled demon after demon: chronic depression, financial misery, suicidal thoughts, and a deadly disease commonly known as binge eating. So, when her lifeline came to her in the form of a blue eyed, sandy-blonde haired Ken doll look alike named Brad, Summer was forced to swim uncharted waters once again in her life.
