Dr. Philip Ayers is the pastor of Glade Creek Baptist Church in Blue Ridge, Virginia. He is serving there in his thirty-third year. He is the author of several books including A Proverb a Day Keeps the Devil Away, What Ever Happened to Respect, America's Loss of Respect for Pastors, When Anger Strikes, Moving Upward, and best-selling M A R I N E, The Battle of Hickory, May 1967. He is the founder of Dr. Phil Ministries and Partners. Philip and his wife, Lois, have a blended family of six children, twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild. Philp and Lois reside in Roanoke, Virginia.
