On a trip to the mountain with her strict grandfather, Alenushka discovered an ancient Dolmen, the world of the great masters of the past. A kind fairy Anna showed how to defeat all thorns, how to quench the hunger by the amazing blackberries.

The book tells about a magical town on the Black Sea, where Alenushka escaped to the garden and learned from the rabbits, the honey bees and the ants how to live in a good friendship with each other. Dogs always gave her their unconditional love and comfort.

Her kind fairy, Grandmother Anna was teaching Alenushka how to defeat all thorns and quench hunger with amazing blackberries.

Sixty years later the grandmother's songs and gathering the blackberries in the American Ranch brought back her  childhood events and adventures.
