Blessings of Divine Ratti describes the magic journey of a gifted young man on a path which can lead when followed in the proper way to the unrestricted expression of the true human potential and the creation of a stable connection with the realm of Gods.
n the crisis-ridden Greece of 2009, a string of unfortunate events brings Victor Varounis (32) a high-flying economist and construction entrepreneur close to the mysterious M. (38), a highly-skilled, but equally idiosyncratic psychiatrist.
No villain chases Victor, nonetheless he faces immediate dangers, as his foe is his unruly mindset. Soon after his unexpected encounter with M. Melanthe Castellano his luck seems to change and his story begins unfolding gradually, on the thin line delimitating reality from an alternate space where present-day life, ancient history and mythology are intermingled.
To his great surprise, his doctor and her small group of followers also known as the seekers of truth are ready to share with him things of value: love, support and majestic visions that are almost too strange to be considered real. Melanthe's mind is a portal, opening mysteriously to adventurous travels, to superior realms of existence, to the millenary history of a mythical subcontinent India and to the all-pervasive presence of the gods: Shiva, Kali, Krishna, Varahi, Saraswati.
Leaning equally towards medicine and poetry, and rigorously trained in Hindu meditative and yogic disciplines, Melanthe uses unconventional healing techniques. Her haunting poems could be either lifelines or dangerous traps for Victor's fractured soul: this is something that has to do with his yet hidden karma.
Restoring his sanity is Victor's priority a failure to do this would result in dire consequences, but a positive outcome is not a given in his case, as his doctor-teacher is eager to raise the bar of her expectations.
A perplexing and unforeseen dilemma will inevitably arise: is he destined to survive and thrive, or is he still a prisoner of his dysfunctional mind?
