Cole Pecker thinks he and his siblings are finally free of troubles. Harvest has come and gone. Wounds are healing. All those who have caused the Peckers trouble are behind bars. A knock at the front door late on Halloween night changes everything. Shots ring out. Cole remembers little else when he wakes on his houseboat the next morning, bound to his bed.
